highsnobiety

You may have noticed that a handful of…

The five-piece capsule collection perfectly fuses Aquazzura‘s fun and flirty designs with De Gournay‘s renowned hand-painted fabrics. A selection of dreamy mules, pumps and flats feature a charming vintage pink tropical scene adorned with toucans, butterflies and then skillfully decorated with embroidery and…

Fremantle-based visual artist Ross Potter is best known for his detailed sketches of Fremantle’s iconic buildings, but for his latest exhibition entitled WOOD Potter turns his attention to the organic world. TPFF 2016 Empire Rose

October 3, 2016
tpff-empire-rose-the-essentialist-blog

Mesmerised and enthused is the best way to describe how I felt at this year’s Empire Rose show at Telstra Perth Fashion Festival. The setting alone had me giddy, with a canopy of vintage bulbs and coloured globes suspended over the catwalk, as an ode to TV’s newest cult show Stranger Things. Models with wispy cotton hair were adorned in sequin bomber jackets, vintage band tees, clashing prints and sparkly Swarovski encrusted veils created by Reny Kestel. Designer Kathryn Cizeika outdid herself yet…

TPFF16 New Generation

October 2, 2016
tpff-rosemaree-white

Showcasing the best up-and-coming local designers, the New Generation runway show at Telstra Perth Fashion Festival is one I always look forward to for its creativity and innovation due to the designers not yet facing the same commercial constraints that established designers do. This year’s show certainly did not disappoint with long time favourites Rosemaree White and Elle Campbell showcasing alongside Tamara Loo, Lyndal Malarkey and Remi Lane. The show was set against the coolest little neon house, which evoked that sense of creativity…
