Superdry Wardrobe Essentials

My everyday uniform is made up almost entirely of denim, tees and funky accessories. They are the essentials in my wardrobe which means I'm quite particular when choosing what to add to my collection, it all comes down to the perfect fit and great fabric. So when I heard that iconic British streetwear brand Superdry was going to call Perth home, I was over the moon - however my wardrobe was flinching at the idea of me adding more "essentials" to the pile!

Although Superdry is more well known for its slogan and varsity tees inspired by vintage Americana and Japanese graphics, I discovered it years ago while I was looking for the perfect pair of jeans on my travels. And let me tell you finding jeans that fit my body shape is not an easy task but I managed to find them at Superdry. The right cut and denim can instantly change the way you look - and feel, and I always regretted not buying a second pair - tip if something fits perfectly buy it in every colour! Needless to say I went a little cray-cray at the opening of the Hay Street store and ended up with nearly a whole new wardrobe. I decided to put together two looks featuring some of my favourite styles and I'm sure you'll see the others over the next few weeks here and on my Instagram.

Look 1 - The Essentials

My wardrobe was in desperate need of a new pair of jeans, so my first order of business was to find the perfect pair. I mostly gravitate towards high-waisted jeans as I like that they suck in all the unwanted lumps and bumps, while the fit always needs to be skinny or super skinny to elongate those legs! I fell in love with the Sophia High Waist Super Skinny Jeans, featuring the perfect amount of elastane and cotton they are stretchy but still hold their shape really well and even after wearing them all day long they don't tend to loosen up as most jeans do, which is a bonus tick!

The second essential is the tee, it's surprisingly difficult to find a t-shirt that has a good cut, great quality fabric and sets itself apart from all the other tees in your wardrobe! Perth locals are very lucky to have access to Superdry's personalisation station - the only other store which offers this service is their flagship store on Regent Street! Simply buy one of their classic tees, decide on a word or phrase and the colour of the letters and you have yourself a one of a kind tees. The hardest part is deciding what to write, I got "Blue Jean Baby" as Tiny Dancer by Elton John is one of my favourite songs, the next on the list is a black tee with my name in bright pink!

Look 2 - Denim Refreshed

I am a huge fan of jumpsuits and overalls they are such an easy and comfortable alternative to jeans and an all white look is a summer favourite, it's fresh and looks great with a tan! So when I saw the Emmis Dungarees I instantly fell in love and knew I had to have them! They are also surprisingly versatile here I've teamed them with a classic white tee, some statement accessories and shoes which dresses them up, but for days on the go I can keep them casual by pairing them with a stripy tee and sneakers - what's not to love!?
