Mirka Mora X Gorman

By now you would know that two of my greatest loves - excluding food and cats, are art and fashion. So needless to say when I heard that Gorman was collaborating with French-born, Melbourne based artist Mirka Mora my heart skipped a beat! If you haven't yet seen or heard about this amazing collaboration it reinterprets some of Mora's existing paintings into a 15 piece apparel collection and a range of accessories. The capsule collection features her iconic dreamy and otherworldly illustrations of wide-eyed children, angels, animals and other little creatures in bold and bright finishes.

As I sadly cannot own one of Mirka Mora's original paintings, having something from this collaboration collection was a pretty great alternative. I was instantly drawn to the Rainbow Sweater and this print in general for its pastel colour palette and ethereal narrative. I also knew it would pair perfectly with most things in my wardrobe. I'm not usually one to match my accessories with my clothing, however, in this case, the colours were a bit too perfect not to match - outfit details below.
