Field of Dreams

When creatives work together magical things happen. This is exactly what our editorial Field of Dreams is all about! The concept of the shoot was born after Lei Lei Clavey from Lei Lady Lei and I visited Perth Milliner Reny Kestel at her studio the Hat Box Gallery. We were so inspired by her intricate and unique headpieces that we knew we wanted to work on a project that showcased not only the beauty of her work but that of other Perth creatives as well.

Grace Robinson, one of our favourite photographers was a natural choice. We love her dreamy yet edgy photography and her incredible vision is what made these photos so magical! We asked some of our favourite WA designers; Tindale, Rosemaree White, blushed by Teagan Jacobs, Monster Alphabets and Tempest Eve to be part of this project. Each of their beautiful pieces injected a very unique look and feel to the photos which captured exactly what we had envisaged. We chose York as our location to highlight the diverse beauty of the region. While scouting for locations a week before the shoot, we were lucky enough to make friends with some local farmers who gave us exclusive access to their properties. We hope you like the editorial and that you feel inspired to travel to the beautiful town of York.
